SKOOL
I am incredibly fortunate to teach in the MFA program where I received my own degree. The University of Baltimore's Creative Writing & Publishing Arts MFA program is unique in its approach to thinking about writing and publishing. In fact, Poets & Writers Magazine named it one of nine distinctive MFA programs in the country.
These are the courses I teach:
Electronic Publishing
Electronic Publishing explores the myriad opportunities available to writers and artists to publish online. Is a book still a book when it's presented online, almost like a choose your own adventure? Or as a blog? Or as an e-book or video on YouTube? And, how might you create a completely new form of writing based on these tools?

Literary Publications
What makes a book a book? How do you create a book form that makes the most of your written work? We'll learn about bookbinding, page layout, book history and make lots of huuuuuge messes with paper, fabric, clay and plenty of glue!
